小学部开展五一劳动节社会实践活动五一劳动节期间，上海金山杭州湾双语学校小学部的同学们积极响应“致敬劳动者，成为劳动者”的号召，开展了丰富而有意义的社会实践活动。同学们走进科技馆、体验职业角色、参与家务劳动，并以海报形式在班级内分享实践成果，将课堂延伸至社会，将劳动精神内化于心、外化于行。

假期中，有的同学前往上海科技馆，在沉浸式参观中感受科技工作者们的智慧与创造力。科技馆里，一件件展品背后凝聚着科研人员和工程师们的辛勤劳动。同学们在感叹科技进步的同时，也体会到劳动与创新如何推动社会发展。

体会到劳动与创新如何推动社会发展还有同学选择和爸爸一起洗车，亲手打泡沫、冲洗、擦干，感受一辆车从灰扑扑到焕然一新背后反复劳动的艰辛与成就感。通过这次体验，他们认识到：每一辆光洁如新的汽车，都离不开劳动者的耐心细致与默契配合。

他们拿起扫帚、拖把、抹布等日常工具，在家庭这个最小的“劳动单元”中，体会“工欲善其事，必先利其器”的道理，也感受到父母日复一日的辛劳。

海报分享：让劳动的故事被看见、被传递假期结束后，同学们带着自己亲手制作的社会实践海报回到班级，轮流讲述自己的劳动故事。这些海报不仅是实践成果的呈现，更是一堂堂生动的劳动教育课。通过分享，同学们从彼此的经历中看到：劳动无处不在，形式多样，但其核心始终是责任、坚持与创造。

从“致敬”到“成为”：劳动教育的深层意义本次五一活动并非一次简单的“任务打卡”，而是一次从认知到行动的完整教育闭环。大队委夏淼同学在活动策划中提到：我们要先了解劳动者——环卫工人凌晨四点的坚守；再理解劳动的意义——从19世纪工人争取八小时工作制，到劳动节在中国的确立；最后亲自成为劳动者——在实践中使用工具、解决问题、创造价值。

“致敬劳动者，成为劳动者”不仅是一句口号，更是一种成长路径。通过这次社会实践，杭州湾双语学校的同学们不仅学会了尊重每一份平凡劳动，更在亲身参与中收获了自信、责任与同理心。

正如活动总结中所说：“劳动最光荣，我们都是光荣的劳动者。”这个五一，孩子们用行动证明了——劳动教育，是最好的成长课。

During the May Day holiday, students from the Primary School Section of Shanghai Jinshan Hangzhou Bay Bilingual School enthusiastically answered the call to "Pay tribute to workers by becoming workers." They took part in a rich variety of meaningful social practice activities. Some visited a science and technology museum, some tried their hand at different jobs, and others helped with household chores. Later, they shared their experiences through posters in their classrooms. In doing so, they extended learning beyond the classroom and let the spirit of labor take root in their hearts and actions.

Learning in Society's Big Classroom: Understanding the Value of Labor Through Practice

Over the holiday, some students went to the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, where an immersive visit helped them appreciate the wisdom and creativity of science and technology professionals. Behind every exhibit lay the hard work of researchers and engineers. While marveling at scientific progress, the students also came to see how labor and innovation drive social development.

Other students chose to wash the family car with their dad. They lathered, rinsed, and dried—learning firsthand how much repetitive effort and teamwork it takes to bring a dusty car back to a shiny finish. Through this experience, they realized that every sparkling clean car depends on the patience, care, and cooperation of workers.

Meanwhile, many students took the initiative to do housework—sweeping floors, cleaning windows, tidying rooms, learning to sew on buttons, and helping their parents cook and wash dishes. Using everyday tools like brooms, mops, and cloths in the smallest "unit of labor"—the home—they came to understand the saying "A workman must first sharpen his tools if he is to do his work well." They also gained a deeper appreciation for the daily toil of their parents.

Poster Sharing: Making Labor Stories Seen and Passed On

After the holiday, the students returned to their classrooms with posters they had made themselves. They took turns telling their labor stories. These posters were not just a showcase of their achievements; they also served as lively lessons in labor education. Through sharing, the students learned from each other's experiences that labor is everywhere and takes many forms, but its core always involves responsibility, perseverance, and creativity.

From "Paying Tribute" to "Becoming": The Deeper Meaning of Labor Education

This May Day activity was not a simple "check‑off the task" exercise. Rather, it formed a complete educational loop from awareness to action. Xia Miao, a member of the Young Pioneer Committee, noted during the planning: first, we get to know workers—for instance, the sanitation workers who start their day at four in the morning. Then, we understand the meaning of labor—from the 19th‑century struggle for an eight‑hour workday to the establishment of Labor Day in China. Finally, we become workers ourselves—using tools, solving problems, and creating value in practice.

"Pay tribute to workers by becoming workers" is more than a slogan; it is a path to growth. Through this social practice, the students of Hangzhou Bay Bilingual School not only learned to respect every form of ordinary work, but also gained confidence, responsibility, and empathy through hands‑on participation.

As the activity summary put it: "Labor is most glorious, and we are all glorious workers." This May Day, the children proved with their actions that labor education is the best lesson for growing up.
