初夏的校园，向家长敞开
五月，初夏的校园，阳光正好，微风不燥。
这一天，杭校三、四年级的教室不再只属于孩子——家长们陆续走进校园，走进课堂，
走进孩子们日常学习与成长的空间。
“看见成长，共享美好”为主题的开放日活动，在温暖与感动中展开。
2026OPEN DAY四年级的美术角则是一片“鸟语花香”的景象。四年级学生们在美术老师的指导下，用粘土制作了各种形态的鸟，色彩丰富，形态各异，栩栩如生。整个展示区域生动亮眼，仿佛把生机盎然的森林搬进了校园，家长们纷纷驻足欣赏。
走廊两侧，各班的优秀作业整齐陈列，向家长们展示着孩子们平日里的学习成果。语文的抄写本和作业本字迹工整，数学的试卷和作业本思路清晰，英语的作业本和创意写作语言流畅，还有一张张Science主题海报图文并茂，展现着孩子们的探索精神。除了日常作业，走廊上还展出了本次运动会各项目的获奖者名单，以及各班3月、4月评选出的“每月之星”。一张张笑脸、一个个名字，记录着孩子们在学业与品行上的双重成长。家长们在这些展板前久久停留，寻找着自己孩子的名字，也感受着整个年级积极向上的氛围。
开放日，是一次展示，更是一次对话。它让家长走进校园，走近教育，也让孩子在日常中被看见、被理解。在这个鸟语花香的春天，杭校三、四年级的开放日圆满落幕。感谢每一位用心准备的老师，感谢每一位积极参与的家长，更感谢每一个认真成长的孩子。我们相信，家校携手，是最好的教育模样。
May brings the early summer campus, with pleasant sunshine and gentle breezes. On this day, the classrooms of our third and fourth graders were no longer solely for the children—parents walked into the campus, entered the classrooms, and stepped into the spaces where their children learn and grow every day. An open day themed "Seeing Growth, Sharing Beauty" unfolded with warmth and emotion.
Entering the Classrooms: Care Shown in Every Detail
Upon arrival, parents first made their way to the third and fourth grade hallways. The third-grade art display featured the theme "Ancient Egyptian Civilization." With its long and profound history, unique cultural elements such as the pyramids, pharaoh legends, and hieroglyphs deeply captivated every parent. Through their own understanding and creativity, the children integrated this theme into their art pieces—each painting and handmade craft revealed their unique interpretation and expression of ancient Egyptian civilization.
The fourth-grade art corner, in contrast, presented a scene of "Birdsong and Blossoms." Under the guidance of their art teacher, fourth graders used clay to create birds in various forms—vibrant in color, diverse in shape, and remarkably lifelike. The entire display area was bright and engaging, as if a lively forest had been brought straight into the campus, drawing many parents to stop and admire.
Along both sides of the hallway, outstanding assignments from each class were neatly displayed, showcasing the children's daily learning achievements. The Chinese workbooks showed neat handwriting; the Math daily practices and workbooks demonstrated clear thinking; the English workbooks and creative writing pieces were fluent in language; and the Science posters were richly illustrated and textually engaging, reflecting the children's spirit of exploration. In addition to daily assignments, the hallway also featured a list of winners from our sports meet events, as well as the "Monthly Star" for March and April from each class. Each smiling face and every name recorded the children's growth in both academics and character. Parents lingered before these displays, searching for their own child's name while soaking in the positive and uplifting atmosphere of the entire grade level.
Entering the Classroom: An Authentic Glimpse of Teaching
After touring the hallway displays, parents entered the classrooms to join their children in lessons. Open classes were offered in Chinese, Mathematics, English, CE, Music, Art, and Physical Education. Each lesson reflected the collaborative planning and wisdom of the subject teaching teams. Teachers had carefully designed their board work and prepared teaching aids. The classroom interactions were natural and fluid, with children thinking actively and expressing themselves confidently, demonstrating a strong learning mindset and positive spirit.
Parent Feedback: Seeing Growth, Gaining Understanding
After the event, we received much feedback from parents. Many expressed that the open day gave them a more direct understanding of their children's learning progress and a deeper appreciation for the teachers' dedication. One parent shared, "In the past, I could only hear my child say 'what I learned today' at home. Today, seeing him raise his hand eagerly and think carefully in class really touched me." Another parent noted, "The homework display in the hallway was very meaningful—I could see my child's work as well as others', which gave me a good sense of where he stands. The teachers' board designs and teaching aids were very thoughtful. My child kept talking about them after coming home—it left a deep impression."
